When will the moon be clear and bright? With a cup of wine in my hand, I ask the blue sky.
The fifth day of the eithth month of chinese calendar is one of Chinese traditional festivals, Mid-Autumn Day. In South Korea, North Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia and other Southeast Asian and Northeast Asian countries, Mid-Autumn Day is a grand festival. There are many legends of Mid-Autumn Day widely spreaded, such as "Chang O flying to the moon", "Gang Wu cutting the osmanthus tree" and "magic rabbit making the chinese medicine".
During the festival, there are various kind of triditional games. People can watch the moon, pray to the moon, light fabulous lantens or watch lion dance.
It is a time for family menbers to enjoy mooncakes which are the symbol of missing family and homeland. Harvest and happiness is the wishes of all people.
